Terms & Conditions

 

Payment

A 60% deposit will be required to secure your booking.  
A further 30% will be required 3 weeks before the event. 
The remaining balance, to include any agreed additions or amendments will be required 7 days prior to the event. 

Please note, no work can commence until your first payment is received.

Payments can be made either by BACS transfer or cheque – J&J Occasions do not hold Credit Card facilities.  Please use our invoice number as a reference when making an online payment.

Risk and Ownership of Materials

We will retain ownership of any materials delivered as part of our services unless otherwise agreed prior to the event, or if you have requested to purchase rather than hire specified items.  You will be responsible for ensuring that any materials supplied to you remain in satisfactory condition.  If materials are not returned in satisfactory condition, you will be responsible for reimbursing J&J Occasions on a full replacement value basis.

A refundable deposit will be charged at 12% of your total bill.  This will be fully refunded after the event, assuming that all goods are returned in their original condition

Cancellations 

All cancellations and amendments must be confirmed in writing. 

Up to 90 days prior to the event, you will be entitled to 50% of the money paid, less any supplier cancellation charges incurred by us. 

90 - 30 days prior to the event, you will be entitled to 25% of the money paid, less any supplier cancellation charges incurred by us. 

30 days prior to the event, you will be entitled to 10% of the money paid, less any supplier cancellation charges incurred by us.

No refunds can be given for cancellations within the last 14 days prior to the event.

Delivery & Collection 

A delivery charge will be calculated at a cost of £1 per mile from our base in Ealing, West London, with a minimum charge of £10.  Extra charges will be applied for London Congestion Charging and all fines or tickets where suitable parking has not been provided.

Code of Conduct

J&J Occasions strive to:

  • Respect client confidentiality
  • Respond to client enquiries in a timely manner
  • Never pass on client details to any third party unless for the sole purpose of the event
  • Conduct our business with integrity at all times
  • Treat our staff with respect, courtesy and kindness
  • Ensure our Public Liability Insurance is up to date
  • Refrain from using livestock as part of our decor installations, for example butterfly release/ live fish bowl display
  • Use only ethically sourced decorative animal products, for example feathers
